Returning to the 2008 Camp Season will be our Team Camp!  The Team Camp is a great opportunity for you and your team to live, train, and compete in a demanding soccer environment.  The camp curriculum will feature critical small group and team tactical training sessions.  Functional training relative to the various thirds of the field will be emphasized.

 

Each team's curriculum can be specifically tailored to the needs of the team as specified by the team's coach.  Each team's coach is encouraged to attend the camp free of charge with thier team, and are asked to help serve in a supervisory capacity and be actively involved in thier training.  8v8 or 11v11 games will also be featured each evening.  

 

The Team Camp runs along side our Residential Camp, and campers will receive the same benefits as those in the Residential Camp.  Each team should have a minimum of 10 players.

The Hurricane Soccer Camp Coaching Staff and Counselors staff also stay in the dorms, making for a very safe and secure atmosphere off the field.  There is also a certified athletic trainer available to the campers at all times, both on the field and off.  With meals in the cafeteria just adjacent to the dorm and 24 hour security the Residential Camp with one of the highest quality and safest camps around.  Campers will receive a Miami Soccer t-shrt, packet from Gatorade, a certificate or participation, and an evaluation at end of camp given by her coach.  Closing ceremonies and award presentations will be held at the conclusion of camp.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

COST: $495 for Residents, $395 for commuters (see discounts below)

                           A $50 discount will be given to the following:

                           - teams who bring a minimum of 10 players

 

                           A $100 discount will be given to the following:

                           Team Discount 2 (Residenial Camp only)

                           - teams who bring a minimum of 16 players

 

ROOMMATES: Campers with roommate requests are encouraged to indicate their roommate preference on the application form. Both campers wishing to room together must request each other. In absence of a special request, room assignments are made according to age when possible.

 

SUPERVISION: Participants are supervised by the coaching staff during the instructional sessions and both by the coaching staff and the summer camp housing staff when at the residence halls. Attendance is taken at all sessions, bed checks are taken at 10:30 pm, and lights are out at 11:00 pm.  Each camper is given a security card so that only they may enter the dormatory portion of the Dorms.  No parents or visitors will be allowed in the Dorms at any time with the exception of check-in and check-out.

 

TRANSPORTATION: Round trip transportation from Miami InternationalAirport will be provided upon request. A $40.00 fee will be charged for this service. Please contact us with your travel itinerary if this service is needed.

 

TRAINERS: A staff of athletic trainers, located in a well-equipped training room, is available at all times to attend minor illnesses/injuries and dispense medication as needed.

 

INSURANCE: All campers must have medical insurance to participate. Accident/Medical coverage will be provided on an excess or secondary basis. The camp policy will pay for those expenses not paid for under the parents’ coverage limits, subject to camp policy coverage limits, terms, conditions and exclusions. The camp assumes no responsibility for accidents or illness.

6:00 p.m. – 11 v. 11 Matches & Competition

9:30 p.m. – Soccer Videos & Snacks

Day Five(Thursday)

7:00-8:00 a.m. – Wake-Up And Breakfast

8:30 a.m. – Final 11 v. 11 Matches

11:30 a.m. – All Camp Meeting/Camp Awards

12:00 Noon – Check Out/Camper Pick-up

 

 

FACILITIES: All facilities used by the Hurricane Soccer Camp are located on the University of Miami campus, and all campers will be supervised at all facilities.

 

CANCELLATIONS: Your deposit is non-refundable. After May 31st, refunds minus your deposit will be given only for medical reasons when accompanied with a letter from your physician.

 

DISCOUNTS:  A $25 discount will be given to the following:

                          - children of Univeristy of Miami employees/staff

                          - siblings who apply for the same camp

                          - campers who attend more than 1 camp (discount applies to 2nd                                week of camp)

 

                           A $50 discount will be given to the following:

                           - teams who bring a minimum of 10 players
